WHAT IS UIC SWISS?

It is a competition held by UIC (Universal Interleague Competition).

WHAT IS THE COMPETITION FORMAT?

Three True Swiss tournaments are held every Friday during the UIC Swiss season. The first is the 3pm EST (8pm GMT), then the 7pm EST (midnight GMT) and lastly the 11pm EST (4am GMT). They are all are held in League 07 (in Gamedesire Pool 8 2009). Players are permitted to play in two tournaments per week. An individual competition runs alongside the team event. The competition changed to a geographic format, rather than leagues, for Season 24 and ran this way for five seasons before reverting to league-v-league. However, for season 32, it went back to the geographic format.

HOW DOES ONE ENTER A TOURNEY?

A player must sign-up to UIC Swiss using a screen-name which matches his or her Gamedesire playing iD.

WHAT IS THE SCORING SYSTEM?

It is very good! SS have won the UIC Swiss team championship 14 times and have been contending the title in every competition since it commenced. SS won the four-week trial season as well! We take it seriously as an interleague to win, and we have been successful because of sound organisation, cooperation and team work.
